Single direction needle roller thrust bearings are designed to accommodate heavy axial loads and peak loads in one direction. The bearings provide a high degree of stiffness and require minimal axial space. To accommodate axial loads in both directions, a double row direction bearing can be created by combining two needle roller and cage thrust assemblies and two bearing washers with an intermediate washer.
